I just finished painting this steam tank. It has been sitting in the closet for quite some time. It was halfway finished, so I decided to finish it off and sell it.

I think mdf sounds great. They make great detailed models for a good price. I wonder what would be a good way to texture/paint them? If you have any suggestions please pass them by. Thanks.

I just noticed that it appears they do not ship to the US!!!!?? UGH! It has always appeared to me that miniature wargaming it much more popular overseas than here. I mean simply look at the miniature companies and the terrain/scenery companies. Most appear to be outside the US. Well I really like these, and they would would for historicals, fantasy, warmachine hordes, and hell even 40k with some work. I would like to get my hands on one.

Amera Plastic Mouldings
This company makes so very promising cheap terrain! The terrain is made with vacuum formed plastics. Here are some pics:

Sold!

I have been selling several of my wargaming miniatures. I have too many! I have an entire warhammer empire army and several lord of the rings miniatures. Like I have stated before, I discovered that, well simply put, warhammer fantasy blows hard. I have sold most of my warhammer stuff on ebay.

I also just sold these, my lord of the rings goblins. They are amongst the very first miniatures I have ever painted. I thought the job wasnt very good, but I sold them for what I was asking for. Its was actually kind of sad to see them go, seeing as they are the first, my babies. But I am glad they will be out of the box that they have been sitting in for a couple years, and will be in a good, loving, caring, playful home. Good luck my friends, and I hope your future sees many victories.

Female Orcs and Goblins

I asked a friend at Little Wars gamestore in Baton Rouge, LA if there are female Orcs and Goblins in Warhammer. How do they reproduce? Do I even want to know? Gross.........ahhhhh image in my head! Well, I was told that they are in fact basically a fungus. That they spread across planets as a fungus would. I thought this was stupid. I love Orcs and Goblins (dont have an army of them, and havent played with them, just love the rules, seem like they would be tons of fun), but hate the idea of them as spores or a fungus. Stupid. I have a warhammer Empire army. They are great and all, but I find myself wishing I had built an Orcs and Goblins army instead. Yet again, they just seem like so much fun. Yea, I will most likely not win with them like the Empire army, but when I would win it would be hilarious. Anyways, I did come across this old Games Workshop Bloodbowl female orc cheerleader............

ok, maybe it is better they are a fungus. I will have nightmares now.

Taking pictures of little men

I have read a few blogs about how to take pictures of your minis. I have always read about getting a light tent, and putting your camera on macro, and then magic should happen. I guess about a year ago I bought a small light tent on ebay. It came with a foldup light tent, and two small lights, and only cost me about $15. Pretty sweet.

Here it is in all its glory. (by the way, you can always click on the pictures to make them bigger). This works great, and yet again, was super cheap. The tent and the lights all fold up in a small package. Perfect to quickly take it out, take some pics, and put it up before the wife ever knew I did it on the dinner table. (sorry hun).

My only problem is I dont seem to take great pics, even with the tent and a nice camera. I have a Canon G11 camera. Me and my wife love this camera. It takes wonderful pictures outside and at events. Only problem is, we arent very good photographers. Meaning, we dont really know how to change setting for certain situations. Anyways, where was I, oh yes, taking pictures of little men (creepy).

Games Workshop Warrior Priest.

The above pictures are of a mighty Warrior Priest of Sigmar! All hail Sigmar in all his glory. These pictures were taken with the little side lights off. The only light was the ceiling light above the table. Next will be some pictures of the same model, but with the side light on.

Here are the same pictures as above, but with the lights on. Which is better? Which makes the colors more realistic and really shows the model in a better light (ha!) Please leave a comment below and give me your opinion so I will know how to take pics from here on.
